How Does Neem Oil Work for Acne

Neem oil, opulent with antifungal and anti-bacterial properties like salicylic acid and nimbidin, inhibits the P.acnes bacteria. It also contains the bioflavonoid quercetin which makes neem oil a natural astringent that lightens acne scars. Moreover, being a non-abrasive exfoliator, it removes toxins from the skin pores, tightens the skin, and keeps the excess oil discharge in check, reducing the chances of acne. It is enriched with vitamin E, fatty acid, carotenoids and ascorbic acid which all work positively on acne.
